One of the key areas of the GDRG agenda is development policy and cooperation. Our interests focus on a range of issues connected with cooperation between developed and developing countries, as well as aid flows from the global North to the global South, including European development cooperation policy and, in particular, the role and significance of Poland as a new donor of development aid.

Our ambition is to provide assistance in the planning and implementation of the Polish government's "Polska Pomoc" ("Polish Aid") programme by providing decision makers with expert knowledge and stimulating a growing debate within Poland on the effectiveness of assistance provided to developing countries. To this end, we conduct research, hold seminars, and organise conferences dedicated to aid issues, as well as provide expert support for organisations directly involved in aid projects and program delivery -- primarily NGOs and, to a lesser extent, private companies.

The following activities are undertaken within the programme:

Polish Presidency 2011 - Consultative Group on European Development Policy

Conferences and Seminars

GDRG Policy Papers
